MONDAY 7 OCTOBER PARENTS’ EVENING

We look forward to meeting you at parents’ evening 3.30 – 7.00pm on Monday 7 October. Mrs Manley will meet parents in Class 1 (Elm Class). Miss Reeves will meet parents in Class 3 (Oak classroom). Please could Class 3 parents wait in the school hall. Your children’s work will be available for you to look at in the hall. Mrs Pye will also be in school and available to speak to. Thank you

 

KEY STAGE 2 VISIT TO LIVERPOOL

Our itinerary on Tuesday 8th October 2019, is as follows:

  • 7.30am   Leave school (Boulton’s coaches)
  • 10.00 -10.30am   Arrive at The Piermaster’s House
  • 10.30 – 11.30am   The Piermaster’s House, tour and workshops
  • 12.00 – 1.00   Guided tour of the Prince’s Road Synagogue
  • 1.30 – 2pm   Packed lunch on the Albert Dock (dining room booked at Tate Liverpool in the event of bad weather)
  • 2.00pm   Tate Liverpool, including Keith Haring exhibition
  • 3.30pm   Coach picks up the children outside the Tate.
  • 5.30pm   Estimated arrival back at school. Children to be picked up by parents / carers

 

Remember to bring warm clothes, comfortable footwear, snacks as well as lunch.

 

CASUAL SITE MANAGER/ CARETAKER JOB OPPOURTUNITY

An exciting opportunity to join the school team as a casual site manager / caretaker, to cover a period of Mr Norton’s temporary planned absence in the coming months. SECOND HAND UNIFORMS

The Friends of Rushbury have kindly collected a number of preloved uniform items. Anyone wishing to have a rummage in the collection, please see Mrs Oxley, Mrs Bromley or myself. Suggested donations are £2 per item. Donations raised will help towards the school.

 

THE GIVING MACHINE GREAT NEWS!

Your donations from The Giving Machine made over £500! Thank you for everyone who shops online and contributes for free, as all your donations go towards new books for the school. If you would like to become a new member, please create your account on www.thegivingmachine.co.uk and choose Rushbury C. E. Primary School as your cause. MONEY RAISED FOR RNLI

Thank you to everyone who joined in on Pyjama Day last week, raising money for the RNLI. We are pleased to say that together with Little Acorns donations, we have raised £63.13. Well done!

 

MONEY RAISED FOR THE PAHUR NEPAL TRUST

Thank you to everyone who joined in on the Crazy Hair day last term, raising money for the Pahur Nepal Trust. We are pleased to announce that we have raised £61.12. Well done everyone!

 

MRS CHILDS BABY ANNOUNCEMENT

Congratulations to Mrs Anna Child, Class 3 Teaching Assistant and Mr Graham Child, a parent governor, who have a baby due in February next year.

 

BRITAIN IN BLOOM

Well done to everyone involved in keeping the schools gardens and grounds in tip-top condition. Our recent visit from the Britain in Bloom judges was a triumph for the school, with us being awarded Gold. Attached is the marking report for your information.

 

RUSHBURY HOUSING NEEDS SURVEY

Local residents should have received a housing needs survey from Shropshire Council. Please fill this in and return it in the prepaid envelope. Your responses do make a difference to what happens in our village.
