A reminder that this event will be held on Monday 1 July at 1.30 pm. Please ensure that your child has his/her full PE kit in school and a hat

, water bottle and sun cream. Many thanks to the ‘Friends’ committee who will be selling refreshments. We do hope you will be able to join us.

  STRINGFEST

Please could the parents of any children attending this event at Theatre Severn contact Mrs Pye by email so that she can check details with you (head@rushbury.shropshire.sch.uk). Mrs Bromley has kindly offered to stay with the children until the performance starts. Transport will have to be arranged independently by those attending. Children taking part will need a sandwich or snack to eat after the rehearsal and before the performance. Thank you.

YEAR 6 ‘LOUDMOUTH’ THEATRE PRODUCTION

On Thursday 4 July, the Year 6 children will travel to Longnor Primary School to watch this ‘Growing Up and Keeping Safe’ theatre production. The children will travel by school minibus with Mrs Wilson. This event is organised by Rushbury School.

RECEPTION AND YEAR 1 SPORTS FESTIVAL

On Thursday 4 July, the Reception and Year 1 children will be taking part in this inter-school sports festival at Church Stretton Leisure Centre. They will travel by school minibus. Please make sure they have their PE kits and a water bottle in school.

 

MONDAY 8 JULY – OPEN AFTERNOON

From 2.00 until 4.00pm on Monday 8 July, we will be holding a special open afternoon for parents and the local community as a thank you for raising money for our school playground. Refreshments will be served in the school hall and there will be an opportunity to look round the school. The children will be Maypole dancing from 2.15pm. Teaching staff will be available to discuss reports from 3.30pm, if parents wish to do so.

Could we have donations of cakes and biscuits for this event, brought in on Monday morning please

SWIMMING

No swimming this week.

CASH ON SITE

Please be advised that the office doesn’t hold any cash. It would be much appreciated if exact change could be given. Thank you in advance

 

SEX EDUCATION

Class 3 will start bringing their sex education folders home next week.

 

BOTTLE TOPS

The school has a recycling initiative, by collection bottle tops. If anyone has any going to waste please bring them in. Thank you.
