Please remember that all future diary dates can be found on the school website.

Mrs Collins is currently absent from school. She has a sudden physical illness that has caused her to be admitted to hospital where she remains receiving treatment and we all wish her well. During her absence Mr Jessel will be covering Class 2 until the half term holiday. The staff and governors will ensure that school carries on as normal.

Peter Baka has now left the school and will no longer be providing the school meals. We wish him well for the future. The catering arrangements have been taken over this week by Dawn Allison. For the time being the menus will remain the same.

On Friday 27th April Class 3 attended the Bookfest awards at the Theatre Severn. Well done to Grace Hilditch and Archie Ayres who were shortlisted for the art competition and received prizes. Their artwork will be displayed in Shrewsbury Museum for one month. Congratulations also to Hannah Davies who was shortlisted for the letter writing competition and also won a prize.

The next Friend’s Meeting is on Monday 30th April at 7pm. Please note that due to staff absence at the school, the meeting will now be held at Great Western Farm. Please contact Adrianna on 01694 722800 for directions. All very welcome to attend. If you can’t make the meeting but have any ideas you would like to share, please e-mail Thank you for your continued support.

Friends of Rushbury School and the Giving Machine need more Active Givers!

As a registered charity, we can make money for nothing! Use and set up “Rushbury C E Primary School” as your chosen charity. It will make money for our school children’s needs every time you shop online with Sainsburys, Tesco Direct, Morrisons, Amazon, Asda, Waitrose, John Lewis, Groupon, Trainline, Expedia, Dunelm, Next, The Book People and many, many more. Log in through The Giving Machine next time you shop and see on your account how much you have helped to raise.

At Rushbury, your children spend a significant amount of time learning outdoors. With the summer term fast approaching, this is a reminder to send your children prepared for sunny weather. We advise hats and sun-cream for protection. Sun-cream can be kept in school bags or given to the class teacher for safe keeping. If you would like us to store sun-cream (for your child to put on themselves), please make sure the bottle is clearly labelled with your child’s name. Thank you.
