MESSAGE FROM MRS PYE

Many thanks to the staff, parents, governors, members of the Friends’ Committee and our volunteers for your wonderful support throughout the year. Well done to all the children who have worked hard and also had a lot of fun along the way! On behalf of everyone here, I wish you an enjoyable summer break and we look forward to welcoming the children back to school on Tuesday 5th September.

LEAVERS’ SERVICE 2017

Thank you to all those who attended our Leavers’ Service.   This was a very special occasion with music, songs and memories. There were also a number of presentations and last year’s Year 6 pupils, Imogen Ingle, Katie Helm, Millie Momcilovic and James Tipton, very kindly awarded trophies for outstanding achievement in English (Chloe Child), Maths (Chloe Child), Sport (Max Blackwell) and Creative Arts (Scarlet Aimson). Mrs Pye presented the children with a “Memories Book” containing photographs and memories of their time at Rushbury School, a signed copy of ‘Danny Daydream’ and a school photo. Our thanks to Mr Barry Kent who, on behalf of the Rotary Club, presented the Year 6 children with a dictionary. Thanks also to Rev. Nancy Cleaton who presented them with a Bible and concluded the service with the Blessing. On behalf of everyone here, I would like to wish Scarlet, Carl, Rory, Max, Chloe, Saskia, Charlie, Emma, Aaron and William every happiness and success in their new schools. Thank you to the Year 6 parents who have gifted the school some fruit trees.

2017 SAT RESULTS

Congratulations to all the Year 6 children who did extremely well in this year’s national tests. 100% of the children achieved the expected level in maths with 40% attaining the highest level. 90% of the children achieved the expected level in English with 80% attaining the highest level. These results put the school well above the national average for 2017.
