SPORTS AFTERNOON

SPORTS AFTERNOON

A reminder that this event will be held on Monday 26th June at 1.30 pm. Please ensure that your child has his/her full PE kit in school and a hat, water bottle and sun cream. Many thanks to the ‘Friends’ committee who will be selling strawberries and refreshments. We do hope you will be able to join us.

YEAR 6 LOUDMOUTH THEATRE PRODUCTION

On Thursday 29th June year 6 children will visit Longnor School to watch the theatre production ‘My Mate Fancies You.’ This is part of their sex education programme. The children will travel by school minibus and will be accompanied by Mrs Pye and Mrs Wilson. We will be leaving shortly after morning registration and will return to school in time for lunch.

SAFER SCHOOLS MEETING

The safer schools meeting will take place on Friday 30th June. Some of our pupils will be representing the school at this meeting which will be held at school. The local authority, a governor, members of the local community and school staff will also be attending. Please could you fill in the attached questionnaire and return as soon as possible so that the children can sort them before the meeting.   Thank you.

FUN NIGHT THURSDAY 13th JULY

Please could we have donations of bottles for this year’s tombola. Thank you.

SCHOOL DINNERS

Please find attached a form to complete for the next two weeks’ dinner choices.   There will be a different menu (to follow) for the last two weeks when the chefs will be trying out some new meals for the autumn term.

YEAR 6 VISIT TO LONDON

As you know we will be catching the train from Telford Central at 7.00am. Nicky Thomsett has kindly offered to do a local mini bus run to the station. This will include a school pick up. If you would like to take advantage of this offer (including return), please complete the slip below. We will confirm pick up times nearer the date. Thank you.

SUMMER WEATHER PREPARATION

At Rushbury, your children spend a significant amount of time learning outdoors. With the summer term fast approaching, this is a reminder to send your children prepared for sunny weather. We advise hats and sun-cream for protection. Sun-cream can be kept in school bags or given to the class teacher for safe keeping. If you would like us to store sun-cream (for your child to put on themselves), please make sure the bottle is clearly labelled with your child’s name. Thank you.

EMAILS

In order to assist communication, emailing directly to parents is very helpful and efficient. If you would like to provide your email address, please complete the slip below. This will help us to improve communication between home and school. Thank you.
