Funky Folk Band

The children in Key Stage 1 have been very busy organising a baptism for a favourite doll. Together with Virginia Clements, the Reverend Nancy Cleaton led the service at St Peter’s Church.

The younger children also attended a Key Stage 1 sports festival at Church Stretton. Activities included competitive games and team challenges. The children were commended for their ability to work together and success at team challenges.

Congratulations to the school netball team who gained first place in the local schools’ tournament at Church Stretton.

In Key Stage 2, the children have taken a break this year from French lessons and have been having lots of fun learning Spanish instead.

Year 5 and 6 children were delighted to discover that some of their poetry is to be published in a ‘Midlands Young Writers’ anthology. We are waiting to find if any of the children received first, second or third place prizes.

In November the children were treated to a great performance by Shropshire Music service’s  ‘Funky Folk Band’. The lively music was enjoyed by all.
